Beit She’arim tombs declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site

Beit She’arim, the Jewish town of the Roman period, situated east of Haifa, has been excavated since 2014 by Dr. Adi Erlich on behalf of the Zinman Institute of Archaeology.
Beit She’arim National Park, which includes the necropolis of the site, was declared in July 2015 as UNESCO World Heritage Site.
