A new regional study of the Intermediate Bronze Age (EB IV; MB I) in the Jordan Rift Valley and Eastern Samaria is been directed by Dr. Shay Bar. Within the scope of this project, excavations have been carried out in two unique sites: Khirbet el-Meiyiteh – the first fortified site from this period in Israel, discovered in Wadi Malih; and Elevation Point -167 – an enclosures village in Wadi Ahmar.
